WARC 0.1 WinAmp Remote Control Plug-in

WARC is plug-in that provides you limited control of remote WinAmp.

1. Warranty and license

This program is freeware. Warranty? None! License is GPL v.2. Details are in file 'COPYING'.

Copy `gen_warc.dll’ into your plug-in directory (usually it is 'C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins\') and (re)start WinAmp. Copy 'warc.exe' in any suitable place.

That's all.

4. Usage

Client side:

Start 'warc.exe' (small 'always on top' window should appear) and enter network name of target machine in edit field. Press buttons to do something (two thin buttons control volume, others are self-explanatory). Result of your action will be indicated in bottom right corner of window: 'D' - access denied (i.e. plug-in is disabled, see below), '!' - some error (target WinAmp does not have this plug-in, network name not found, etc.), five-dot cross-like black symbol - network call is in progress.

Server side:

Go to 'WinAmp|Options|Plug-ins|General Purpose', select 'WA Remote Control...' and press . Tiny dialog box with credits and one check box will appear. Here you can enable or disable this plug-in. When plug-on is enabled, anybody can torture your WinAmp. And when it is disabled, nobody can prevent you from listening what you want.

Это прграмма относится к 'FREEWARE'. Никаких гарантий. Лицензия - GPL v.2 (см.  'COPYING').

Скопируйте 'gen_warc.dll' в директорию с плагинами (обычно это 'C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins\') и (пере) запустите WinAmp. Файл 'warc.exe' положите в любое удобное место.

4. Использование

Клиентская часть:
Запустите 'warc.exe' (должно появиться маленкое плавающее окошко) и введите имя компьютера, которым хотите поуправлять. Нажимайте кнопки (две узкие кнопки - громкость, остальные - и так понятно). Результат ваших действий отображается в правом нижнем углу и может быть просто ужасным: 'D' - access denied (т.е. примочка выключена, см. ниже), '!' - ошибка (WinAmp не запущен, примочка на нем не установлена, неправильное имя компьютера и т.д.), пятиточенчный крестообразный черный символ - 'запрос послан, ждем ответа'.

Серверская(ная?) часть:

В 'WinAmp|Options|Plug-ins|General Purpose' выбеоите 'WA Remote Control...' и нажмите . Появится диалоговое окошко с одной галочкой (или без нее). Назначение ее очевидно.
